Recently caught at a dysfunctional boomgate on a down hill slope the C50 was still light and manoeuvrable enough to grunt backwards uphill to escape the ‘crab pot’.
On the open road: The C50 is sure footed across uneven ground such as road workworks/repairs and at speed will turn your concern into a feeling of safety and security as it sure footedly transitions the broken surface.
Whilst not a power blaster (800 cc) with two-up on a longer journey it keeps up with those who choose the speed limit and in that slot it’s perfectly suited as a manouverable commuter and capable overnighter kitted out with sissy, bar panniers and after market wind screen.
Comfortable on long trips, with wide seat and sissy bar/back rest- however the pillion gets shortchanged with a skinny hard ride and I have had mine modified or I had to leave her behind.
Overall rating: not for anyone over 5’11″ go for the C106.
As an allround comuter/short tourer at the lower end of the price scale it is a great starter.
