Before you choose the desired course please read the following information:

InBalance Motorbike Training offers a range of courses each tailored to provide students with the life long skills and knowledge required for the safe enjoyment of riding motorbikes.

Six steps to obtaining a motorcycle licence in Queensland

1. Obtain a  RE Learner’s Licence from Queensland Transport (QT).  Please note, to receive an RE Learner’s Licence, you must have held a provisional or open licence for another class of vehicle for at least one year during the last five years. You may also choose to obtain your motorbike (class R) provisional or open licence through Q-Ride (after obtaining your Q-Ride certificate).  However, you must have held your motorbike (class RE) provisional or open licence for at least one year before learning to ride a class R motorbike.

2. Choose the appropriate course offered by InBalance Motorbike Training by completing the Self-Assessment Questionnaire to identify that you are totally familiar with all areas that will be tested.  From the Self-Assessment Questionnaire, you may determine some areas that you are not familiar with or are not competent in to the standard required to enable you to be deemed competent in the assessment.  If this is the case, contact InBalance  Motorbike Training for assistance in enrolling you in the appropriate course lesson(s), to give you the relevant skills in those area(s)  of the course. However if you feel that you could successfully complete the Q-Ride Assessment against the course competencies you may elect to jump straight to assessment.

- produce the applicable  RE Learners Licence or RE licence.

You will demonstrate competency in all the skills, knowledge and attitudes specified in the Q-Ride Program provided by a Registered Service Provider and be capable of performing these competencies consistently over a period of time in a range of contexts on multiple occasions.

5. When the Learner Rider (being taught by an accredited rider trainer) has achieved competency in all the competencies of the program, the accredited rider trainer will supply a Competency Recommendation Notice to the Manager of the Registered Service Provider within 1 day after the learner has been assessed as competent. When the learner rider has achieved competencies in all of the competencies of the program the learner will be presented with a Competency Declaration Certificate for the class of motorbike for which the training is given.

6. Getting your licence: This Competency Declaration Certificate must be presented by the learner rider to a Queensland Transport Customer Service Centre within 1 year of receiving the certificate, then the appropriate licence will be issued by the authorised personnel at the Customer Service Centre.
